Hellenic International Studies in the Arts
HISA's vision to bridge professional artistic mentoring with individually guided study is supported by formal affiliations with: The Prague Museum of Modern Art, for specialized projects in the Czech Republic; Studio Rhythm Dance in Sapporo, Japan, for the summer dance workshop; the Massachusetts College of Art and Design for accreditation of certain individual classes; and AthenaStudyAbroad, which sponsors Hellenic International Studies in the Arts, as its only Greek based program. HISA is also an officially approved Study Abroad partner of Grand Valley State University and Chapman College *For a complete listing of colleges and universities that granted credit for study at HISA, please see the listing below.
Students and home institution Study Abroad Offices concerned with credit transfer to their respective schools can be assured that the process by which HISA's courses are accredited is a rigorous one, applying the highest standards.
All course instructors are required to possess either a Masters or a Ph.D., and contributing and visiting teaching artists must be accomplished professionals in their fields and submit artistic work for evaluation before being allowed to participate in the program. HISA recognizes that credit earned from Study
Abroad is important to students seeking a degree, and therefore urges students applying to its courses to consider the value of such assured credit when comparing different programs. As a matter of policy, we believe students should know in advance the amount of credit hours they will receive, and in what areas these credits can be applied to their course of study at the home university.
The faculty and administration of Hellenic International Studies in the Arts is always available to help students and to communicate with their home administrations.

HISA believes very strongly that everyone with the vision to attend the Paros Study Abroad Program should be given that opportunity. The Director will work with your home institution to ease the transfer of any financial aid where possible. Each school, of course, has its own policies as regards transfer of institutional aid, but state and federal aid can be tapped by using the University Financial Aid Consortium Agreement. See your financial aid advisor as to what procedures to follow: in most cases the process is a straightforward one.
